Honda has showed us in December 2008 that this Japanese motorcycle company will produce its electric motorcyclces in 2010. The latest news says that Honda is preparing its electric motorcycle.
Honda is reported to make a joint venture company with battery specialist GS Yuasa Corporation. The company named Blue Energy Co. According to Dealernews, the Blue Energy Co. Ltd. is 51 percent owned by GS Yuasa Power Supply Ltd and 49 percent owned by Honda Motor Co. Ltd. Ltd will manufacture, sell and conduct R&D for high-performance lithium-ion batteries for use in Honda hybrid vehicles.
In major motorcycle manufaturer, previously KTM has announced its project for electric motorcycle and then KTM is working to develop a model for production now. This makes Honda to be the second major motorcycle manufacturer to revealed its electric motorcycle project.
