BMW D1200R Concept, it’s still confusing me of it’s a robot or a motorcycle. But according to BMW, its a concept motorcycle. The prototype motorcycle was created by Pablo Gonzalez de Chaves and Carlos Beltran based on the BMW R1200R with modifications on new chassis, new front suspension and bodywork. Powered by 1200cc Boxer twin engine that wrapped by aluminium frame that also acts as a stressed member of the frame.
BMW D1200R Concept’s project took over a year to complete. Starting at a BMW R which was fitted with sensors and taken to the track. After collecting enought of data a thorough top-to-bottom redesign began. Beginning with exploratory sketches the design process went through various stages before ending up as a 3D computer model. The team were able to build all the custom parts necessary for construction of the bike using the computer model .
