Harley Davidson FLSTN Softail Deluxe combines nostalgia with a modern powertrain and suspension for a truly confidence-inspiring riding experience. For 2009, the Softail Deluxe has a redesigned, narrow-profile rider seat with collapsible pockets in the shell that make the seat narrower when straddling the motorcycle at rest. Seat height is just 24.5 inches, among the lowest for a full-sized motorcycle. An easy-reach pull-back handlebar and riser package, lowered suspension, extended kickstand and exclusive integrated luggage rack make the Softail Deluxe an even more functional ride. Classic design touches include wide whitewall tires on Chrome Laced Steel wheels, tombstone tail light on the rear fender, intricate cloisonné and sparkling chrome.

2009 Harley-Davidson FLSTN Softail Deluxe offers its 120.02 NM @ 3300 rpm of torque of 1584cc Twin Cam 96B balanced engine with its 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission at $ 17,449 of price.

2009 Harley-Davidson FLSTN Softail Deluxe

Eight-model Harley-Davidson Softail line for 2009. No single line of motorcycles offers more diversity in styling and attitude, and Softail Deluxe offers nostalgic. The Softail family represents the fully realized custom vision of Harley-Davidson, a combination of rolling art and engineering excellence that is often copied but never matched in the world of motorcycle design.

Named for its rear-suspension design, which mimics the lines of a vintage hard-tail frame but offers the comfort of modern suspension that is hidden under the chassis, every Softail has clean lines, a low seat height, and a rigid-mounted, counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B powertrain. The rigid powertrain allows tight packaging of the engine and frame and creates a solid connection between the rider and the power that moves the motorcycle, enhancing the emotional experience of riding.

Each Softail model also features the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for outstanding mid-range torque and relaxed engine speed when cruising. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) enhances engine efficiency, provides crisp throttle response and easy starting, and self-adjusts for changing environmental conditions to maintain performance. A horseshoe oil tank located below the seat, forward foot controls or foot boards, the classic Fat Bob fuel tank, and the perfect execution of custom detail in paint and metal are design elements that define each Softail model.
